-Supports mirrored raid. -Lot of applets to sync with cloud storage. -Web UI is easy to use. -Set it and forget it. Mostly. -Supports multiple users. -Has a fan to keep drives within safe operating temps.

This was an excellent purchase. Arrived very quickly, 2 days earlier than promised. Had seriously good packaging to protect from possible shipping accident. Setup was easy. There are at UG tutorials and youtube videos to aid if you have questions. There is lots of flexibility renmixing hdd's or m2's and no brand restrictions as some other NaS brands have. I install 7TB of storage which works well for.my home LAN. After 3 weeks use of the "2800" I am totally happy.

Decent price for the hardware, sleek design, upgradable RAM, software updates are frequent, drive bays are solid, can control fan speed for the CPU

Works as advertised, latest version of software allows for other drives to be used instead of Synology drives, Ironwolf works great.

easy to set up

much quicker nas than my ds223 have the option to have a warm spare quiet

Works as expected

It just works. And in the computer world thats a big win. Runs as fast as a local hard drive.

I buy this NAS for the 2.5 LAN .. I haven't fully tested it yet... but I want to say that the packaging and delivery were EXCELLENT.

As of DSM 7.3 you can now use any name brand drive again. I tested with my old 4 TB Seagate Red drives and no issues.

Best NAS OS DSM 7.3, user friendly, robust, slick. Can use any HDD brand with DSM 7.3. Support RAID and SHR.

- Fast CPU (for a NAS). - Looks nice. - Quiet. - 2x NVMe slots. - 4x surveillance licenses.

- M.2SSD and 10GBE in one card - Performance - Ease of installation - Heat sink

Easy to upgrade memory took sodimm ddr4 3200 16 gig. Qnap went to soldered on memory on new machines suppossedly due to a ram shortage so now you can not upgrade their ram so this was a HUGE no no for me. I was a Qnap lover, but a friend has a older version of this and I thought i'd give em a try. Software looks almost identical to a Qnap so was easy for me to get in and go. 2x2.5 gb networking. it does transfer very quickly. 4X Gen 3 m.2 (NOTE THESE GET HOT). I used heat sinks for all 4 and have had zero problems. It's worth a few bucks to toss heat sinks on em. if your only going to cache boost with em get small cheapies they run much cooler. Took a few tries to get the setup I wanted with my raid and SSD caching. This was a neck and neck with Qnap ts464. its cheaper and does the same stuff, but you can upgrade the ram. I have both this and the Qnap ts464 this is my favorite. This thing for Plex is a beast! transcodes multiple streams like a champ.

- Well made - Nice little heatsink on the chip. - Fast ... really fast !
