Overclocks well Fast

Great Processer for a build that has a good video card !!!

This doubles my multi thread rating. BF6 loads me in to maps much faster. If I encode more DVD Movies it will not take nearly as long. Planning to wait a couple of years before replacing the mobo, CPU, and RAM in my computer. RAM prices are out of control. Waiting for them to come back down.

The reason I changed cpu's is the motherboard. My old chipset z67 was getting old.I run ssd's and need the speed that a z97 can produce.None of this will help me with gaming.I'll still on a rail over what I did,(new mb,video card more ram)but I'm sure it will work out fine.To all that have a z87 MB you will need a bios update before booting this cpu.Good luck to all.I'm sure this upgrade will carry us all to the next upgrade.

Awesome 👍

It is really fast! Has cut my work time in half at least. Used mainly for photography.

It has been over a year since I purchased the I7 2600K. When I first got it, I immediately water cooled it and overclocked it to 4.9 GHZ. I run this CPU 24/365 at overclocked speed and it has not had one single problem with it. It has handled everything I have thrown at it and not missed a beat. I previously ran an AMD 955 OC'd to 3.8 GHZ. and it worked fine but the Intel I7 2600K blew it out of the water. Everything is fast. Running an SSD as my OS drive, the I7 2600K is perfect with any SSD. It will match any software that you can throw at it. It can do videos with ease. It does not get hot even at 4.9GHZ. I can run several programs at the same time and not have any problem. The I7 is by far the best CPU I've had the pleasure of using.

-Wicked fast -Low TDP -Runs cool
