This build was for my cousin. He wanted white/gray build and wanted AMD with a budget of $1500. Paired with AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D and 4070 super. For case we went with Lian Li Lancool 216 White and MSI MAG Coreliquid A13 240 White for the cooler. So far he loves it. It was super easy to install and all the other components matched perfectly. The board has 1x GEN5 plus 2x GEN4 slot along with EZ PCIe release is so convenient. At the back of the board you have WiFi7, 5G LAN, USB4 Type-C and so many other connection options. It is future proof and build quality is very sturdy.

DISCLAIMER: This review for ASRock review rebate program. As the title states, this board is HEAVY! Both in features, and in actual weight. (Bonus points if you know where the quote is from) I splurged on the ASRock Taichi X870E for my Ryzen 9800X3D as I wanted to go all out - it does NOT disappoint! From the moment you unbox it, its clear this thing is premium. The quality and design of this board is rock solid (ASRock solid?) and those gear-like accents give it a unique, steampunk-ish vibe. If youre building in a case with a tempered glass side panel, this board is made to be shown off with its RGB. This was my first ASRock board (I used to go with another brand that sounds similar to Bigalight), not just because I wanted something future-proof, but primarily because it doesn't utilize lane sharing for the m.2 drives & GPU. That being said, the PCIe 5.0 support is great! While PCIe 5.0 SSDs are still crazy expensive, its nice to know the board is ready for the future. This is also my first time back with AMD after years of using Intel chips. I thought overclocking would be a hassle, but I was able to get some slight overclocks on my 9800X3D and also my RAM. I will be playing around more with it later as I get used to things. That said, The BIOS is easy to use, even if youre not an overclocking wizard. ASRocks layout is pretty basic, but its clean and functional. All the important settings are easy to find, and tweaking voltages or RAM timings doesnt feel like a chore. The I/O on the back has SO many USB ports, it's unreal. It has USB4 as well as tons of 3.2 and 2.0 options. Wi-Fi 7 and a 5Gbps LAN port ensure youre covered whether youre gaming, streaming, or just downloading massive files. No bottlenecks here! The Clear CMOS and BIOS Flashback buttons are also great premium additions. Boot times are lightning-fast, gaming is smooth as butter, and multitasking is effortless (even with Chrome tabs!). Even under heavy loads - like rendering video or dabbling in AI generation - it stays stable and cool. ASRocks attention to detail really shows here!
